Through the World of Warcraft additions, we’ve met some pretty cool bad guys. Here is how they all stack up.
World of Warcraft has been around for a long time and keeps getting better. It has a lot of interesting stories and great heroes. It has also had some of the most famous bad guys in the history of video games. So far, there have been nine big additions to the WoW world. Each one has brought both new and old bad guys into the game. Some of them left a lasting impression on anyone who fought them, but others didn’t do much of anything.
This is the final list of how all of the big bad guys in the WoW expansions rank. There are a few things at play here, like how scary, strong, or well-written these characters are. All of these things affect how well they work as bad guys.
Sylvanas, Battle For Azeroth
Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, who is better known as “The Dark Lady,” was a big part of The Battle for Azeroth update. Even though she isn’t revealed to be the bad guy until later, a lot of the story is about her.
People often criticise the BFA expansion for not having a clear bad guy. This is made worse by the fact that The Dark Lady isn’t seen as one of the best bad guys in the World of Warcraft world. She is at the top of this list because there is something hollow about her character and attitude.
Deathwing, also known as Deathwing, The main bad guy in the Cataclysm update is called “The Destroyer.” People who used to play World of Warcraft will remember that for a long time, everyone thought he was dead.
Even though he’s not the worst bad guy in all of Azeroth, he did put up a fight that shook the whole place to its core. He has an unquenchable desire to take out all mortal races from Azeroth.
Gul’dan, Warlords Of Draenor
One of the most well-known bad guys from the first World of Warcraft games is Gul’dan. Surprisingly, he shows up in the Warlords of Draenor expansion as a different person. He has a long and interesting history, and he wants power more than anything else in the world of video games.
His main goal is to find the Tomb of Sargeras so he can use all of its power. In the alternate timeline of WOD, he is redeemed by having a more interesting past and more depth to his nature.
Kel’Thuzad, Wrath Of The Lich King
Kel’Thuzad is one of the most famous bad guys from the World of Warcraft storyline. He is best known for being the main bad guy in the famous video game Backrooms. He comes back in Wrath of the Lich King, which is one of the most popular additions.
Kel’Thuzad used to be a part of the Council of Six, which is made up of the six most powerful Kirin Tor masters, but he later chooses to follow the path of evil. He has sworn to learn everything he can from The Lich King and is the second bad guy in WOTK because of this.
Kil’jaeden, The Burning Crusade
Kil’jaeden is the proud boss of the Burning Legion and the person who made the Evil Lich King. He has done more than his fair share of damage. He can change into different shapes and has a smart mind.
Kil’jaeden is one of the few bad guys who is kind to his followers and ready to forgive them. Kil’jaeden became the Kil’jaeden we know when he joined forces with Sargeras, who offered him a lot of power and resources in exchange for his help.
N’Zoth, The Battle For Azeroth
N’zoth is the Demon Old God of Insanity, Nightmares, Corruption, and The Deep. His home is deep under the sea in Azeroth, and he is one of the Old gods who have been proven to exist in the World of Warcraft world.
N’zoth, who is also known as “The Corrupter,” is the one who turned Queen Azshara and Deathwing to the bad side. He is also a very important character in the Battle for Azeroth update.
Hellscream, The Mists Of Pandaria
People often say that Garrosh Hellscream is the best-written bad guy in the World of Warcraft world, and for good reason. Hellscream was sent to Garadar when he was a child because he had the red pox. He goes on to become a very important Mag’har chief who is feared all over the world.
Hellscream did most of the work to beat the Legion, but it cost him a lot in terms of his own health. Hellscream is one of the most likeable bad guys in the series because of his sad history and short-lived impact.
The Jailer, Shadowlands
The Jailer is the main bad guy in the Shadowlands expansion. His roots and goals are a mystery.
He is one of the Eternal Ones in Shadowlands. His other name is Zovaan. Zovaan is the guardian of The Maw. He has kept the souls of Azeroth’s most powerful heroes prisoner and used them to get stronger.
Raszageth The Storm-Eater, Dragonflight
It’s not just this wild proto-dragon and her powers as one of the Primal Incarnates; it’s also the team of her older brothers. She is the youngest of the Primal Incarnates, so she might not be the most powerful. However, three even more dangerous proto-dragons have been let loose on Azeroth because of how smart she is. Raszageth gets extra points for coming up with this plan, and even though she is still young, she already has amazing powers.
The last boss in the Vault of the Incarnates is Raszageth, the Storm-Eater. Even if a brave group of explorers kills her, her plans to free Fyrakk, Iridikron, and Vyranoth work, and they live to be killed again.
The Lich King, The Wrath Of The Lich King
The Dark Lord of the Dead was made when Ner’zhul was destroyed, and he is mostly known as the one who will bring a level of destruction to the kingdom of Azeroth that has never been seen before. He is in charge of The Scourge. From The Frozen Throne, he rules them with his Helm of Domination.
In Wrath of the Lich King, the Lich King is the bad guy. He was once Prince Arthas Menethil. If you have the Frozen Throne update for Warcraft 3, you can find out about his past.
Sargeras is the only thing that can be called “true evil.” The Dark Titan made the Burning Legion, which attacked Azeroth and almost totally destroyed it. Sargeras’s only goal is to wipe out all life in the universe and undo all the hard work that his people did to get where they are.
It’s interesting to know that Sargeras used to be the guardian of worlds before he became evil and started going down the road he’s on now.
